Belmont Picks 5/23/07

Belmont:

Race 1: Foreign Minister-horse looks very competative in this group and the stable has been winning in bunches this year.

Race 2: Zen Buddha-this firster comes in with good connections and boasts a bigtime win early pedigree-should be a great price.

Race 3: Mission Approved-this horse should be on the lead or very close to it in a paceless race. Looks good on paper, but no stand outs in here.

Race 4: Caught Stealing-you get prado on this 7/2 shot and you also get a horse that looks the best on paper.

Race 5: Lear's Princess-tried to see a way of beating this filly and I couldn't, so I'll have to eat the odds on.

Race 6: Mr. Guggenheim-this horse has a good win early pedigree and the connections have been automatic this season.

Race 7: Exton-this Mott trainee seems to be the best on paper and looks to have a nice set up from a pace standpoint.

Race 8: Harlington-big time back class all over the place in this group, the pletcher entry gets the nod.

Race 9: Regal Officer-this horse has good numbers against these types and the officer offspring has done alright on the turf. 20/1

Hollywood park picks 5/23/07

Hollywood:

Race 1: Eye Candy Sandi: this filly looks tops from a pace perspective.

Race 2: Unusual Jane-this filly made a big run in her last start, look for improvement.

Race 3: Casual thunder-this race sets up well for this horse to stalk the pace.

Race 4: Skipper Mike-this horse is head and shoulders above this field.

Race 5: Unusual suspect-this horse will be coming late, should get the pace up front.

Race 6: Calculation-looks like this horse may be lone speed. Look for him to take them all the way.

Race 7: Idiot Proof-this horse looks far better then these on paper, but you might have to go deeper in your P6's to get the winner.

Race 8: Star Quality-closely matched bunch here, this entry should be a good price.

Watch for my pk6 ticket in a bit.

Belmont Picks 5/20/07

Belmont:

Race 1: Chilly Rooster-This is a class horse against these and should be coming late on the scene.

Race 2: Partida-experience will win out in this contest, which is key at the distance.

Race 3: Martial Asset-this horse is trying the distance for th first time, but looks really good in this spot. Plus you get Gomez and Hennig at 7/2.

Race 4: Mister Hennessy-how about this horse at 8/1. Looks right behind the leaders on paper, just needs pace to get it done.

Race 5: Brantley-this horse is the speed of the race and the class on paper. Put it in the bank.

Race 6: Heavenly Ballad- Two Punch firster here with Coa on board.

Race 7: Magnolia Jackson-filly looks like the class of the field and Contessa has been hot lately.

Race 8: Soaring By-Not sure there's enough pace in here for Sightseeing so I'm going to try and beat him with this colt.

Race 9: Higher Incentive- horse looks like the class on paper, should get the money.
